What is VoIP?
FAQ

Q: What kind of support will I get from Vocal Pulse?

A: Vocal Pulse provides comprehensive on-site, email and telephonic support for all our Partners & Clients.

Q: If I'm using VPX, what happens if my internet goes down?

A: VPX has a PSTN fail-safe switch, which automatically switches over from VoIP to PSTN if your internet connection goes down.

Q: Can Vocal Pulse supply supporting hardware?

A: Vocal Pulse supplies all supporting hardware from servers to IP phones.

Q: Is VPX open-source?

A: The VPX core is built on Asterisk*, which is open-source, however the HUD & Vpx control panel are not.

Q: Why should I use a solution like VPX for my business, instead of Skype?

A: VPX acts as a business PBX (telephony switch) - whereas Skype is merely a peer-to-peer software application. Skype does not provide the advanced PBX functionality, features or hardware needed for a Business PBX solution.

Q: How much can I expect to save using a VoIP system?

On average, businesses can save up to 30% (sometimes as much as 55%!) on their existing telephone bill simply by routing their calls over the Internet. For new and expanding businesses, using a VoIP system also significantly reduces the amount of infrastructure required.
